Observations:

The Ponent Library serves District 4 of the city. It was inaugurated on February 27, 2011. Its area of influence extends to its neighborhoods: La Concòrdia, Can Borgonyó, Can Rull, Cifuentes, Via Alexandra, Can Llong, and Castellarnau, and it acts as a link with the municipal public library system.

In the absence of the construction of the library in District 5, the facility also serves this sector of the city. The building was designed by architects Eduard Freixas, Rafael Gálvez, and Ricard Perich. It has a usable area of 1,981 m² distributed over a single floor.

It is located on the ground floor of the multifunctional building of the Alexandra Complex, a building with 168 residential units. The library stands out above the rest of the complex, and it is worth mentioning the green area surrounding the building, which ensures natural light from the outside. It is also important to note that it is an energy-efficient complex, winner of the 2012 Catalonia Social Housing Award for its geothermal climate control system and the solar energy panels it has.

The library consists of a single floor with divisible multipurpose rooms. The interior layout is organized around a central corridor, reinforced by a skylight. The facility includes a reception and promotion area with a lobby and multipurpose room, an information and general collection area with lending services, information, newspapers and magazines, multimedia zone... and a children's area. The building’s architecture makes it possible to separate the use of the lobby, multipurpose room, study room, and services for other cultural uses.

It has more than 200 reading points and currently holds a collection of over 30,000 documents, though it has the capacity for 48,000 documents.
